Meanwhile we had to say goodbye to 2 of our boys who have left the project. Handsome guys with good prospects, unrecognizable with the children we once found on the street in their total hopelessness.
Both have already found work while they were still in training or waiting for their diploma. See them shine! Proud of what they have accomplished and that they now can help provide for the family, so that their siblings do not have to share the same fate from whence they once came. Their gratitude to Koinonia and the staff who worked with all their hearts for them is great.
In the letter of thanks that they wrote to their sponsors, they tell them, that what they have done for them, they will never be able to repay and therefore will never forget them.
We bless them, 2 boys who succeeded in breaking the circle of poverty with God’s help, what a victory!
Ondertussen hebben we afscheid moeten nemen van 2 van onze jongens die het project verlaten hebben. Knappe gasten met goede vooruitzichten, onherkenbaar met de kinderen die we ooit op de straat vonden in hun totale hopeloosheid.
Allebei hebben ze al werk gevonden terwijl ze nog in opleiding waren of hun diploma afwachtten. Zie ze blinken! Trots op wat ze bereikt hebben en dat ze nu mee voor de familie kunnen zorgen zodat hun broertjes en zusjes niet het lot moeten delen vanwaar zij ooit gekomen zijn. Hun dankbaarheid aan Koinonia en de medewerkers die met heel hun hart zich hebben ingezet voor hen is groot.
In de dankbrief die ze schreven aan hun sponsors vertellen ze dat wat ze aan hen gedaan hebben ze nooit zullen kunnen terugbetalen en hen daarom nooit zullen vergeten.
We zegenen hen, 2 jongens die er in geslaagd zijn met Gods hulp de cirkel van armoede te doorbreken wat een overwinning!
